Certified Medical Interpreter Services in Michigan

Credential-matched medical interpreters for hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation, behavioral health and other healthcare settings.

Metro Language supports healthcare communication in Michigan through qualified and, when required, nationally certified medical interpreters. We confirm the requested language, care setting, delivery method and credential requirement before assigning an interpreter.

Michigan healthcare organizations can use one language-access workflow for hospitals, physician practices, rehabilitation, behavioral health, home care, pharmacy and public-health needs. Metro Language coordinates remote interpreting statewide and scheduled in-person coverage where qualified interpreters are available.

Credential requirements are checked before assignment, including CCHI, NBCMI, ASL credentials, HIPAA training and facility-specific onboarding when requested.

Available medical language access: scheduled in-person interpretation, video remote interpretation and over-the-phone interpretation. Requests for CCHI- or NBCMI-certified interpreters, ASL credentials, vaccination records, drug screening, HIPAA training or facility-specific onboarding are confirmed before scheduling.

We support healthcare organizations in Metro Detroit, Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Flint and other Michigan communities. Multi-location systems can combine in-person interpreting, VRI and OPI instead of relying on a single delivery method for every encounter.

Are all medical interpreters certified?

No. Certification is language- and credential-specific. We verify CCHI, NBCMI, ASL or other requested credentials before confirming an assignment that requires them.

Do interpreters receive HIPAA training?

HIPAA awareness is required for Metro Language healthcare assignments, with any additional facility requirements confirmed during onboarding.

Can you support urgent needs?

OPI and VRI may provide faster remote access. In-person availability depends on the language, credentials, location and notice provided.
